The Julia Mills Gallery has begun a new digital life!

Having spent many happy years in my galleries, first in Porthleven and most recently in Mousehole, I made the decision at the beginning of 2014 to change the way I work. I now operate from a large, purpose-built studio at my home, in order to concentrate on bespoke commissions and producing work for sale via my new website – ta da!

I am excited about this new phase. My work has been developing in fresh and exhilarating directions for a while now and, as much as I love being in the gallery, it feels like the right time to dedicate myself to ambitious new projects. I am looking forward to working closely with clients, architects and designers on new commissions over the next few months.

Working on large-scale pieces for private homes and commercial clients such as restaurants will give me more freedom to create unique work in response to my surroundings. With more scope for individual projects, clients will now be able to visit me in the studio to discuss their own bespoke piece of glass art.

As well as commissions and work for sale via the website, I will also be keeping busy producing pieces for some great galleries here in Cornwall. These include The Lighthouse (Penzance), The Square Gallery (St. Mawes), Sandpiper Gallery (Mousehole) and the Cornwall Crafts Association Galleries at Trelissick and Trelowarren.
