Whilst I enjoy emersing myself in my work in the studio, it’s also great to get out and meet other artists. I now have an opportunity to do just that as a new member of The Makers Emporium, a co-operative of artists and makers with a large gallery in St Just; the beautiful and wild reaches of West Penwith.
This colourful selection of panels looks great in the window.
My glass joins a diverse selection, including jewellery (Gill Durbridge, Katie Rogers and Niki Green), paintings (Mel Sheridan, Katy Sjostedt and Vicky Walker) mixed media (Jo Jewers, Susi Chaikin), textiles (Carole May, Sue Dove, Lizzie Houghton), accessories (Karen Arthur, Charlie Lewin and Mo O’Brien) and ceramics (Jill Bevan, Catherine Lucktaylor).
The Makers Emporium is open 10-5, Monday to Saturday at 5 Cape Cornwall Street, St Just and is well worth a visit.
