Design your own contemporary stained glass panel

Posted on: April 12th, 2015 by juliamills

At my workshop perched above the fishing harbour of Newlyn, I have everything I need to create bespoke glass panels which can be framed and hung in the home.

Julia Mills, ArtistThis service has grown from the understanding that choosing glass art work is fun, but it is even more rewarding to commission a unique piece which reflects your own personality and surroundings.

You can choose colours and forms which remind you of a particular view or time of year, and select details with special meaning for you – animals, plant life, architectural features or stylistic motifs.

Past panel designs have included seashore and hedgerow motifs, castles, cottages, hares, fish and beloved pets (including dogs and chickens!)

For inspiration many clients look at current panels and select formal elements they particularly like, and mix and match colours and motifs until they have the perfect, unique combination.

Julia Mills, ArtistDesigns can be produced in a range of shapes and sizes depending on the design and budget you have inmind. They can be framed in simple oak or white frames, with or without chunky wires for easy hanging.

These bespoke panels make wonderful gifts. To find out more email or for inspiration visit my shop or commission pages.
